Charitable Donation Request Application Guidelines
Rotary Year 2015 – 2016
The purpose of the Rotarians at Work, Inc., a non-profit entity of the Rotary Club of Panama City Beach Community Allocation Grant Program, is to provide financial support to non-profit organizations that qualify under section 501©(3), Internal Revenue Code and adhere to Rotary’s Four Way Test in helping the community.
The Four Way Test:
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
Each organization seeking a donation must complete and submit an on-line application, each year. The Rotarians at Work, Inc. does not award multi-year grants. Once received, the application will be reviewed by our review committee, who will then submit their recommendations to Rotary Club of Panama City Beach board of directors, based on the criteria, for final determination. The organization will be notified of the board’s decision on or before June 5, 2015. Selected applicants may have to attend a mandatory meeting to find out what volunteer help each applicant will bring to the event.
When reviewing applications, the review committee will look for applicants who support one of the following:
* Support Children
* Disabled Youth and Adults
* Homeless & Hungry
* Military Veterans
* Those in Need of Emergency Medical Services
When a grant check is cashed, the organization is obligated to use it for the purpose given in the application. Grant recipients are required to submit a written report along with photos (if applicable) describing the use of the funds after the project/program is completed after the grant has been received. This report is critical in determining future grants to the requesting organization.
Donations to individuals (except for scholarships) will not be approved. Faith-based and community organizations are eligible to apply.
